Effective sanitation of animal facilities is recognised as an essential part of any good welfare regime, the level of hygiene is vital to the health and recuperation of the animals. The majority of cleaning routines are based around the manual application of disinfectants often mixed by eye or “experience” that take time and effort to apply. The results often look very pleasing but have actually done little to reduce the levels of disease causing organisms because of the physical limitations of manual application.
Bio decontaminations Vapourised Hydrogen Peroxide decontamination system can have a huge impact on hygiene standards within the animal care industry. The speed and dispersion of the vapour is such that large animal holding facilities that have in the past been difficult to sanitise affectively can be completed in a fraction of the time it would take to perform a wet manual disinfection. Previously inaccessible areas of buildings are readily treated as the vapour is dispersed throughout, removing both airborne and surface contaminants, without condensation issues so permitting electrical equipment etc to remain in situ during decontamination, and permitting animals to be returned to a dry environment.
This makes VHP the ideal decontaminant for kennels, stables, veterinary surgeries and animal hospitals. The Bio decontamination dry vapour system offers a mobile, controlled and measured solution with full microbiological validation as required.
The “dry vapour system” is predominantly used to dispense Hydrogen peroxide but can be used with most liquid disinfectants, giving it the advantage of use against a broad spectrum of bacteria, viruses and fungi or for the treatment of a specific entity.
Available fixed or mobile, the dry vapour system has numerous advantages over manual application and will deliver an effective, safe and fast solution to virtually all hygiene requirements.
